The Swarthier family had moved to the new world, migrating from Europe. In fact they came over on the Mayflower, or so it has been told and retold. Assuming great wealth, future generations surrounded themselves with other Swarthie's and families of similar background and accumulated wealth, living among large castles, gated communities and enjoying the good life, while those around them in the hills and valleys below were paid little if any attention.
In the year of our lord 2006 while basking in the noon day sun by the luxurious swimming pool the patriarch of the family listened intently as a hovering sound in the distance became visible as a
saucer shaped object which landed almost in the swimming pool, sat down on pads supported by spindly legs and gently came to rest.
Undaunted he watched as a door opened, a ladder extended and a small odd shaped creature emerged to climb down the stars and make way directly to the chair in which the patriarch sat.
“Walla wolla popka simta” said the small creature, to which the patriarch did not even blink and eye while thinking to himself, yet another lowly creature which does not speak my language, so I will pay him no heed.
Sensing that the human was either not responsible or completely illiterate, the small creature climbed back into the saucer shaped object and flew down into the valley where he saw very small homes, laundry on a line and sounds of laughter as children played in the streets and adults went about daily tasks, he picked out one of the small home where there were both children and adults and repeated his request of Walla wolla popka simta which they did not understand either, but began to ask questions, trying to understand.
Soon the small creature was understood by the family, who in turn shared what they had been asked with other families in valley. Those in the valley shared with others in the hills and plains and eventually the request of the little creature had spread far and wide, land was becoming scarce and the mountain on which sat the large castles was slowly but surely being inhabited by the other little people, but none ever say a person who lived in the large castles.
Time passed until every available spot to build a home on the mountain had been taken and the last spot would require the builder to venture into the yard of a castle. Mouma ventured into a vast area where a large swimming pool once provided leisure from the inhabitants. She saw a figure sitting in a chair by the pool, ventured forth and said Walla wolla popka simta. There was no reply as in a time many years ago.
“Walla wolla popka simta” said the Ulitar
“Yes they shall” said the Umber, for he had learned from the other little people too as he and the Ulitar had observed what had been transpiring on the place called earth for thousands of years.
