Each of the awards shown below was   the result of either seeking information on a particular topic or our sincere desire to present our concerns and what little knowledge we posses, in the best possible light so that others may follow and upon leaving - take something of use with them.

We have returned on a regular basis to each of these sites with the realization that awards for the sake of awards is a human effort directed toward self gratification and that our primary reason for visiting these sites in the first place was to glean knowledge and wisdom.  If you our fellow traveler would but visit each site with a click of your mouse, you too will gain knowledge and wisdom.

Our youngest daughter has now left for Auburn University where she will be a freshman and  a veterinarian when she graduates.  She originally visited this site which is in Macanet, Spain because the web author is a veterinarian and she was doing research on dairy cattle management.   Francisco Carreras presented the FVW GOLD AWARD, to us in part because of our daughters interest.

This is a truly remarkable site, which allows us to enter worlds which are only in our dreams.

We were looking for an interpretation of a piece of poetry at Spyders Poetry Empire and their motto leaped out at us. "Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, direction and skilled execution.  It represents the wise choice of many alternatives." Enter this site and you will see a their motto faithfully executed.

We were looking for sites similar to our Fix-It section and some ideas on how to construct this section and found another Web Mistress who answers e-mail.  The award recipients  of the Net Maestro's Homemaker Award  are an excellent source of home related topics which include more than just recipes.

Among the sites we visited in our effort to improve this web site we found that some had received the Blue Ribbon WEBSITE Award. Quite frankly we were dissuaded from applying for this award because our site paled in comparison to the sites which had received this award.  Finally, with the realization that if our concerns and meager knowledge were to be shared, an award site which included the best of the best, would point others our way should we receive this award.

This award has been a learning experience in which the creator evaluates the site, suggests improvements, offers words of encouragement and is a true friend of those who apply, whether receiving the award or not.  This process has covered several months  where guidance and suggestions have been tendered.  The  result  has been subsequent improvement.  Our site is the direct result of this  Webmaster who has the Faerie Mother and The Keeper's best interests at heart.

Upon entering this site you will truly see the best of the best.  While we are humbled by receiving this award, our effort is meager compared to the other recipients.

When we first developed the title for our web site, "Lancaster's Laughing Place," we thought of places, people and things like the following site.  Our life is so short upon this earth - why not fill every fiber of our being with happiness?  Visit Jan and you too will experience a joy of living,  which makes some of life's not so happy moments not only bearable, but quickly leave our conscious mind.

We have expressed through our writing's a desire to unite all people of the world in a common purpose - to live in peace and understanding with the ancient spirits who dwelled on earth before man brought disorder, where once there was order.  Our writing's have been honored and a web ring has been formed for the proud members thereof.  Please visit the web rings section to visit other members who have been honored.

People who truly love the favorite animal of the Faerie - dogs, are among the most compassionate "parents" in the world.  Stings site in Sweden in no exception.  Lhasa Apsos are little balls of energy and very family orientated.
