Seeds of Faith

All during the day we will plant seeds,
and Father Murphy reminds us at mass
not every seed sowed grows our faith
but all seeds have particular needs.
Consistency is one seed of faiths needs!
The lack of consistency in our faith will
grow a seed but often will be a weed
and a hungry man that seed will not fill.
If we consistently sow seed over ground
some will fall into briers and will not root;
but others in the good earth will be found,
resulting in growth of faith which is not mute.
Cultivation is another of faiths great needs!
When our daily mass and bible reading grow
which into our daily life empties and cedes
smaller ground for weeds to grow and hoe.
Around each of us our faith begats faith too
making Gods desire for all of us to grow
in so doing there become many not few
and the winds of inconsistency will not blow.
Water and sunlight are of faiths great needs!
Taken together and in our faiths are inseparable
because we are what the unity of God feeds
and what God has ordained, by man is irreparable.
If we on a daily basis take these four of faiths needs
let our Lord and Savior do the planting of lifes seeds
allow faiths needs to grow in our daily life unabated,
around us we see all on whom God has patiently waited.
