The Scary Balloon-Copyright by Ursula Vernon

Reaching sixty-six is getting old,
or so I have been many times told;
So now I am finally here not there
wondering how my health will fare?
Now that I have reached a ripe age,
feel like turning over another page;
One filled with things I truly like,
like just taking off for a long hike.
To walk over this grand old land,
led into glory by a million dollar band;
With my Shetland Sheep dogs in tow,
off to only where, the Lord will know.
How many miles must a lone man run,
to see all the places, filled with fun?
No use wondering, just gotta say go,
because the pups will keep me in tow.
But I'll check in with you, time to time,
and a mail from me you will always find
because a friend to me you have been,
so look for a smile and big ole grin.
