Innocence by Haruhiko

Innocence by Haruhiko
A Dark Now Fae

I sit beneath a dark somber cast
which in my life time would last
until the hand of my solitary Fae
would again kindle hope and say,
these burdens will not forever last.

Last they have lo these many years
brought a flowing tide of salt tears,
with some help gained in a brief thought
just to flicker with each battle fought
and with so many faces of a parents fears.

Fears which have grown in each waning day
for my Fae from me could not hear me say
with clouds and shadows around her clung
and no choir of Angels to her have sung,
her gift to me I could not in anyway repay.

Repay gilded thoughts of my younger year
which helped me quell solitude and fear
in a soft happy face when she would awake
for nothing but a joy in life would make
and my Fae was always to me held so dear.

Dear Fae would you please now try to awake
to take away tears and fear for our sake
least in these remaining years almost gone
your spirit of yesterday would be withdrawn,
a better life our angel both could not make?
