Raindrops

She has retreated to the mountain,
no longer wandering in the forest,
like rain drops stored in a fountain,
when our needs were at the sorest.

When she needs us, to be reappearing,
more raindrops from her we borrow,
but from us she needs our cheering,
for to some there may be no tomorrow.

So take her hand, not that of the reaper,
to spread those cheers to her in story,
but heed the voice of our wee weeper,
while man awaits end hopefully in glory.

The autumn winds in Faerieland are rushing
as the host arises with cheers to borrow,
to a mountain as white lily's are blushing,
Faerie's end is not near and there is a morrow.

Footnote: A family centered activity on the internet called The Site Fights (TSF) has many unique activities for the family.  One such activity is called cheering, where as a team member we are encouraged to write usually a verse or two as encouragement for the team on which we are a member. Some of our cheers are expanded, as was the case of our poem Raindrops

Upon occasion a cheer may even receive an award, which Raindrops earned and is shown below.
