Christmas 2001
by Denny Lancaster

Wayward Maji led by a bright star,
traveling toward HIM, from afar;
Through whose gifts would bring,
smiles from Cherubs who sing.

Sing daily in HIS humble praise,
from the depths souls do raise;
Onward from that glorious night,
raise HIS banner in their fight.

Fight the "Dark One" not in repose,
whose lingering thoughts propose;
Greater is the glory of earthly man,
who with somber bore bearing can.

Can rise up against the blight on me,
for Cherubs in cheer give light to see;
Beyond mere mortal efforts in dust,
to HIM in afterlife, the one we trust.

May the light of Christmas days past,
in this new year not flicker, but last;
Through we and those whom we greet,
join hands in heaven when we meet.
