Origin of Kindness, By Denny Lancaster
A/K/A The Faerie Keeper
210905
A bouquet of flowers for a wee Faerie to dispose,
he then met a beggar and from him kindness arose;
From this bouquet of cheer, pick a delicate rose,
for your needs are greater than mine, I suppose.
A red rose was taken from the bouquet with care,
almost with uncertainty, frothed with a dare;
The rose to the beggar, with you I will stay awhile,
and he returned those words with a thankful smile.
On down the road then a dragon he did meet,
who raged and belched with the most terrible heat;
If you do not breathe so heavy on wee little me,
from the bouquet a dainty snapdragon you'll see.
Around a bend came the Queen of The Canyon on a filly,
for you dear lady choose the cream colored Lilly;
Filled with wonder the Queen exclaimed with a start,
I am pleased to meet a Faerie with such a big heart.
Into the bog with light mist and fog at his back,
ventured into blackness and courage he did lack;
He thought this part of the journey to dispose,
when a most familiar voice from the darkness arose.
Your fear is unwarranted, for your kindness is pure,
RAOK's of yours will bring help, of that we are sure;
Remember those whom you have met and shared your love,
returns of ten fold in kindness, just like the dove.
On with his journey, down into a bottomless dark pit,
out jumped an evil humongous male frog, bounding quick;
He screeched and screamed with such a great delight,
frog turned into a Frog Faerie, then frog took flight.
Out into the clearing, met a Leprechaun with a pick,
who told him of the valley where many flowers he'd find;
Stepping over meadow muffins, so lively and so quick,
Lady of Myst sent instructions deep into his wee mind.
Go into the valley and many flowers you will find,
pick only one of these flowers for being so kind;
The valley floor was covered with so many there,
finding just one special flower would take great care.
A tiny yellow rose bud was picked from the valley floor,
upon picking, at once opened a great earthen oak door;
Venturing though the portal, the light it did him blind,
cheers and kindness in abundance our wee Faerie did find.
From that day in his journeys among those on earth,
looked for ALL kindred spirits who showed HIS rebirth;
For each of us must look deep into the minds of ALL kin,
only then will our journey in kindness finally begin.
