When flags (other than those of other nations) are grouped, the flag shall be in the center and higher.

The union (stars) shall be to the north on an east and west street and to the east on a north and south street.

The flag shall be flown in the place of honor. This is to the right of the person or group displaying the flag.
The flag may be displayed flat on a wall behind or to a speaker's right. The union is placed toward the place of honor.
Crossed with another flag - the flag is in the place of honor. Its staff is in front of that of the other flag.
Parade - if alone, the place of honor for the flag is at the right front. In a line of flags, the flag is centered in front.
With another flag - on the same pole with another flag (not of another nation), the flag is flow at the top.
It is the custom to display the flag only from sunrise to sunset. However, it may be displayed at night if lighted to produce a patriotic effect. The flag flies day in good weather, but not bad weather. It should be flown especially on National and State holidays which include New Year's Day, Inauguration Day, Lincoln's Birthday, Washington's Birthday, Armed Forces Day, Easter Sunday, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Constitution Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and the birthday of your state.
The flag should never touch anything beneath it such as ground, floor, or water.
Never use the flag as drapery.
Flags of two or more nations are flown from separate staffs of the same height. These flags should all be about the same size. International usage forbids flying a flag of one nation above another in time of peace.
If the flag gets dirty, clean it. If torn, repair it. When beyond repair it should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.
Never dip the flag to any person or thing.
The flag should never be used for advertising purposes. Advertising signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard (rope) with the flag.
