You will find elsewhere within our Lancasters Laughing Place the reasons for starting a web presence and establishing our Talking Hands Award in 1986 which bears cause for establishing an exception to the two week rule of our commitment to respond to applicants both as to the receipt of a nomination and other matters explained in our chain of custody section.
Twenty years of online activity have been both exciting and rewarding as of 2006. Now being retired from a regular job and at my present age of 68, having really taken no extended time off from internet activities, I find that by establishing an extended time off will enable other pursuits and avoid burn out with this joyful activity of award giving, so please observe the following exceptions to the two week response rule. During the periods of time below, the website will be maintained to meet award program rating group requirements but there will be only irregular activity and nominations and other online activity will be the exception, rather than the rule as in the past.
October 15 through December 31
The only regular activity relating to either Lancasters Laughing Place or our Talking Hands Award will be the selection and announcement of our annual award. Irregular activity will be the processing of nominations which may exceed the two week period and updating too. Award honorees posted as of November 30 will be considered for the annual award.
February through April
This is a period of time in which my family will actively pursue dog trials and events with our present six Shetland Sheepdogs and continue in private practice in the area of international tax and consulting. There will only be occasional activity pertaining to either Lancasters Laughing Place or our Talking Hands Award. Again we shall comply with other obligations which are required of our internet organizations and associations.
