The aim is to provide web developers and designers
worldwide a forum, via our discussion list and regular meetings, to discuss issues and share knowledge in standards-related web development.
We also aim to get the "web standards" message out to the web development community and provide information and assistance to developers who have not yet embraced standards-based development.
Association for Web Awards Rating and Development (AWARD) was established on December
1, 2006 by Lupércio Mundim, as the first award program rating service with translation for the Portuguese, the Spanish and English languages, for Latin America.
Because Portuguese is ranked sixth among the world's languages in number of native speakers (over 200 million), and first in South America (186 million, over 51% of the population) I am honored to be
an evaluator for AWARD and to share my brother Lupe's dream of providing a quality and highly respected service by assisting and advising in matters which pertain to the English language.
It is with great honor and joy that the AWARD grants to your award program "Talking Hands Award" the maximum rating level of our association of 6.0. Congratulations!
Your award program presents a simple but very pretty design, an exceptional content and a logical and extremely simple navigation, through the which the visitor can sail for all the site without any difficulty.
O.N.Z.C.D.A™ began at the end of 1998 and in 2008 will celebrate their first Decade as part of the international award community.
To mark this special birthday, O.N.Z.C.D.A™ will find their Web Site of the Decade from amongst their previous Web Site of the Year winning web sites (including the year 2008 if applicable) and offer a special award to mark their owners ultimate achievement.
It is a high honor to serve as a judge for this very special event and continue my association with an exceptional web mistress.
My first recollection of meeting Rhonda Serong online was when O.N.Z.C.D.A. was a themed based website with an award program in the late 1990's. Since that time I have had the honor to work with Rhonda in a number of mutually beneficial activities involving the award community. So it was only natural when she had a staff opening, my long standing offer to be an evaluator was answered when she called on April 27, 2009.
