Lancasters Laughing Place Clans Index

Ancient Firbolgs (men of the bags) were defeated  by the Foreordains, they were removed from their lands by Tuatha De Danann, settled in Greece where they were enslaved and made to carry earth from the valleys to the bare hills, made leather bags to carry it in, later made boats out of the bags, and escaped to Ireland.  After their defeat at the battle of Mag Tured they took refuge in the islands of Aran, Islay, Man, and Rathlin. Thus these events are recorded in the Irish Gaels, which is the oldest Celtic literature in existence, corresponding in time to the Egyptian creation of the universe out of the primeval Water by Thoth.

The Faerie Queen and The Keeper determined from the plight of the Firbolg that ancient man must ban together in one common interest, in order to protect the unwritten words of fantasy and imagination, least all knowledge be scattered across the face of the earth and  lost in it's entirety. Clans were formed for these purposes and each leader was given certain Keys, for no clan should rise  dominant over the other, because of mystical powers.
