Hearing the sweet, enchanting music of the Faerie musicians, we followed it even against our will, into Faerieland itself. Here we lingered, woven into the fabric of their creations. Suddenly we had a clearing of mind, an increase in our ability to concentrate and our souls were filled with the wonderment thereof. Do you too, dare venture into unfamiliar musical lands. Fear not, for the Faerie Mother and The Keeper are with you. Do not hesitate, for the moment may soon be lost.
Zen Garden Graphic-Right Side Navigation:
I've noticed you nicked the Zen Garden code for pages like http://www.faeriekeeper.net/deaf.htm - not a problem, that's the whole point really (although according to the rules you shouldn't be using my image on the right hand side, but I'll let it slide).
Thanks for checking in again. Still no problem, although you'll probably hear that more frequently. The Garden is rather popular, and people (obviously) are making the connection. No harm in letting them know you have permission though.
-David Shea

Included on this page are citations which reference MIDI'S included on this web site, graphics which we have borrowed and tools which were used to create our web site. The music titles are linked to the page on our web site.
When VH1 presents the Story Tellers we always make a sincere effort to watch the program because we are truly interested in what prompted the composer of a song which we enjoy, to write the song. By knowing something more than just the music and words we can hopefully become immersed in the totality of the composition, thus adding to our listening enjoyment. Therefore, we are providing the composers comments (when possible) with reference to MIDI'S which we have chosen to be background music. Otherwise, references are enclosed.
Music has always been an important part of our family life. Often we find a composer with a particularly beautiful piece, but rarely do we find a composer who is willing to e-mail
and lend help and guidance. Because of that help, guidance, and our background midi Beautiful Angel, we wish to thank Rick Alexander.
Although Mr. Doore has been previously mentioned, we feel a compelling need to mention him again, for not only has he kept in regular contact by e-mail, his screen saver which serves as
our home computer background is a constant reminder to me that our world contains many talented people, but not many who have become our friends.
We have many acquaintance's, but very few which we can truly call friends, so we thought. As a member of the community of GeoCities, each member has extended their hand of friendship. Our
special thanks to this fine organization and the member's thereof.
Inspiration is often energized by external forces. Such a force is Max Bertuzzi. We have "bugged" Max so much that we wince when we send an e-mail, thinking he will say, "not again." Thank you very much Max for your help and especially for permission to use our image map and the image shown below, which you may click and visit Max.

Dreams by Margi Harrell
"My music has been my means of expression for as long as I can remember. I was in somewhat introspect mood and truly just let my fingers go to see where they took me. That's the nice thing about having my midi hookup. I can just improvise and listen to it at a later date, to see if it is appealing. We're never too old to have our own special dreams, and that's an expression of mine at that moment in time. The more I heard it, the more I liked it, and really have no idea exactly where the melody came from, except from inside me somewhere." Margi Harrell, e-mail
Beautiful Angel by Rick Alexander
"I wrote Beautiful Angel for my lovely wife, Cathie. Her pic, bio, and samples of her own original music can be found at the preceding link. " Rick Alexander, e-mail).
Phantasmagoria, by Anthony Lombardi
"Well, I can't really say there's a specific thing or series of things that inspired me to write the piece. I guess it was just my love of music. Also I really like Danny Elfman's work. So I guess that could be an inspiration for the song...as I remember, the song started out as just the low string part, which supports just about everything else...the harp part in the beginning was one of the last things added I think. "Anthony Lombardi, e-mail). Our Beta Testing section contains Anthony's midi.
Descending The Stratosphere, by Jan Erik Hedbom
"I got the inspiration for Descending The Stratosphere one evening when I was sitting by my computer, trying to make something useful. I threw together a simple baseline, and added some high-pitched tones to give it a fell of early synch. A little transporting was added, and the song was already half-way complete. I let three tubas of different pitch play the lead and echoes. The drums finished the sound. At the end of the tune, I muted the tubas and changed the lead to a saw tooth with an (at least on my synthesizer) extremely sharp sound. The title of the song refers to entering the atmosphere, an event which, like this song and most other songs, increases in intensity, if you get the picture." (Jan Erik Hedbom, e-mail).
Medley, by Voker Stamer
Reference: Voker's inspiration for music composition is certainly influenced by his family: Ellen, Alysha, Carolyn, Nadja, and Aike - a West Highland White Terrier. Voker Stamer has enjoyed a varied work experience, including cover art work and is presently working for Prism Software Engineering of Kehl, Germany. Kehl is located in Central Europe, bordering the North Sea and the Baltic Sea between the Netherlands and Poland, south of Denmark.
Alysha, by Voker Stamer
Reference: No greater love can a father show a child than to name a composition after his son or daughter. Alysha is our background midi for this page, which is a tribute to all the children of our world. We urge all who use midi's on their web pages to support. Save the Music - which is for our children, who are born and yet unborn.
King of the Faeries, Irish Folk Tune (sequenced by: Barry Taylor)
Reference: A web site whose theme is Faeries would not be complete without an ancient Irish folk tune. Music, poetry, oral traditions, and stories are embellished with Faeries whose exploits are legion, because according to tradition, Ireland is the home of Faerieland and the Faerie Queen.
Coming to America, movie theme song, (sequenced by: Barry Taylor)
Reference: A prince came to America in search of a bride and this song is the theme for the movie. In it's original form the composition was uplifting and airy. With Mr. Taylor's sequencing this composition becomes awesome.
Songs of Distant Earth, By Mike Oldfield
Reference: The ancient spirits who dwell above the middle earth and the earth below, which is in the space above the earth heard the music of the spheres and exclaimed the wonderment there of. Thus it was written by the Druids so that all who hear this ancient composition may proclaim the coming of Partholan, Nemed, and the Firbolgs into Ireland.
Myst on the Mountain, Irish Folk Tune (sequenced by: Barry Taylor)
Reference: Myst is often referred to in ancient lore as being a transporter of spirits to and from the world of man. We have included our midi as a plea for all of Ireland to be united. Celtic tradition is a common bond which exhorts all who would call themselves Irish, to unite for the purpose of restoring harmony of the ancient order. Thus united, as in the beginning of time, Faerieland can be restored in all of its splendor and magic.
Danny Boy, Irish Folk Tune (sequenced by: Barry Taylor)
Reference: A favorite song of tenors, especially Irish, because of the vocal range. Our midi selection for our Brocks Winners section. A fond reminder of our days as a youth. The tune is based upon the poem The Dawning of the Day.
