Dwarfs are marvelous smiths and workers in all kinds of metals; their women excel in weaving and spinning. Traditionally the dwarfs taught men to bake, smith, and tailor. Generally, dwarf's are thought to be evil, because of their general appearance. However, this is not true in of Brock, who was the brother of Sindri and of a different family from those dwarfs who had helped Loki smith his gifts for Sif, Frey, and Thor.

Brock helped Sindri forge Thors stub-handled hammer, which would help Thor in his battles with Jormungandr and the giants. The hammer called "Miolnir" would return to his hand when thrown.

The Brocks Forge Award Represents mans first impressions of those who are different from himself, which include intolerance or ridicule.

Our purpose in this award is to identify those True Believers who have the Founding, as revealed in The Book of Books, and is evident in their web site creations.

Award Established 1 October, 1998

Award Criteria - Brocks Forge Award

Lancasters Laughing Place originally made the monthly presentation based upon True Believer Award winners, who were voted on by a panel of judges. Starting in May, 1999 - he and Nancy Monaghan decided to form and maintain the True Believers Web Ring and have the web ring members vote on the monthly presentation. This decision was necessitated because more than one site would now be offering their own personalized award titled True Believer.

Each web ring member may nominate one (1) web site to True Believers Web Ring not later than the 25th of each month.

The web site which receives the most total votes from the voting section of True Believers Web Ring will be our monthly Brocks Forge Award winner. No more than one Brocks Forge Award will be presented each month. The award winners, along with the True Believers Web Ring member who submitted the award winning site will be maintained in our Brocks Award Winners Section.

The only exception to presenting more than one Brocks Forge Award in any one month will be in in unlikely event that on the first round of balloting two sites will receive the same vote count.

The Brocks Forge Award is a monthly award. Winners are chosen from those who have received our True Believers Award. Our international judges select the best site ( in their unanimous opinion) each month. Shown below are the best of the best, which are chosen from all the rest.

The Dawning Of The Day

One morning early I walked forth
By the margin of Lough Leane
The sunshine dressed the trees in green
And summer bloomed again
I left the town and wandered on
Through fields all green and gay
And whom should I meet but a colleen sweet
At the dawning of the day.

No cap or cloak this maiden wore
Her neck and feet were bare
Down to the grass in ringlets fell
Her glossy golden hair
A milking pail was in her hand
She was lovely, young and gay
She wore the palm from Venus bright
By the dawning of the day.

On a mossy bank I sat me down
With the maiden by my side
With gentle words I courted her
And asked her to be my bride
She said, "Young man don't bring me blame"
And swiftly turned away
And the morning light was shining bright
At the dawning of the day.
