Talking Hands Award

Special Recognition.

Among our Talking Hands Award winners are those who have expended significant time and energy to be a guiding light.  Those on this page espouse the interest and concerns of those among us who are disabled by doing what we consider something special, worthy of special recognition, and certainly worth trying to emulate.  Visit their pages and determine why they are held in such high esteem.

These web sites were created by what was at the time called Community Leaders at Geo Cities and those on this page were the very first one's to render their web pages WAI compliant.  This effort began in 1996 and was among the first significant group effort's on the WWW. When the effort ended, because Yahoo disbanded the Community Leaders program, approximately 1,200 web site owners had completed making their web pages WAI compliant, either through the influence of those mentioned or by being helped in their effort.

Sparkshire Shetland Sheepdogs.
