The Keeper gave certain men keys to help mortals overcome the Dark One when he visited boredom, unproductively, unordered lives and other dark forces upon mankind. These men are called
Keepers and those who assist them in developing tools which will fight and overcome the Dark One are called Keeper Helpers (that is in the realm of the Faerie Queen). On earth such helpers are
called Beta Testers, whose purpose is to gain insight into the tools of the Keeper and render them useful to all of mankind.
The Fairie Queen and The Keeper joined forces to create a purpose in the minds of certain men to develop companies (clans in the ancient world) whose purpose was to gather Keepers who roamed the
earth into their companies to develop the tools necessary to fight the dark forces. We have been permitted to reveal certain of these companies and detail the toil of the Beta Testers so that
those who read these pages will join when additional tools are being developed.
The Quicken family of products is like a family - it has been with us since 1986. Circle L Accounting is my home based business and the Intuit family of products are recommended to my
friends and clients, because of the "intuitive" way in which they function.
Beta Testing at Intuit departs from the "Pre Release" and "fix it late" mentality of other software companies. Intuit produces an almost bug free product by rewarding and recognizing
Beta Testers. Their Beta Staff are gurus with heart.

This clan was given the task to continue development of a common language for all of those who follow The Faerie Queen
and The Keeper. Hereafter the tool used to create a common language is called word processing (true believers call this tool WordPerfect). The Chronicles of a Beta Tester are placed below.
WordPerfect Corporation was founded in 1979. The privately help company developed software to help people process, share and present information across a wide variety of computer operating
systems (Dos, Unix, IBM, and others).
During the mid 1980's the computer and related software industries were in the process of changes, the significance of which only the visionaries (those whom The Faerie Queen and The Keeper had
chosen) could fully comprehend. WordPerfect Corporation was not one of those visionaries.
Novel Corporation was one of those visionaries when they purchased WordPerfect Corporation in the mid 1990's. Despite the fact that Novel Corporation had an excellent suite of work flow
products, even if they did not invent any of it, they barely understood what they got.
On Wednesday, January 31, 1997, Novel announced that they were selling Perfect Office application suite, WordPerfect word processing applications, QuatroPro spreadsheet, and other business
software to Corel Corporation.
To those who had used Corel Corporation products, QuatroPro, and WordPerfect products, this announcement was an answer to prayer.
Even though WordPerfect market share had been seriously eroded by a competing clan and in our minds possibly beyond repair while under Novell's ownership, Corel Corporation's reputation for
excellence was well known in the graphics clan. The question remained as to whether a relatively small corporation could "deliver the goods." To do so would normally require large amounts
of capital, marketing prowess on a world wide scale, and superior technical personnel in the product areas to be developed and marketed. Corel Corporation on the surface could not "deliver the
goods."
What transpired will surely become a classical case study in "Marketing, Technology and Guts." Not only could Corel Corporation "deliver the goods", they took core components, combined with
their technical prowess and delivered technically superior products. Users who had stuck by WordPerfect from its inception in 1979, wrote macros for expanding the connectivity to other business
applications, had become experts in word processing through the years of using WordPerfect and realized the power and simplicity of combining key - board and function key commands were vindicated for

Keepers of the graphics clan (the clan responsible for converting our mind images
into images on paper and computer screens) have shared their work with us for many years since Windows 3.0 was first installed on our computer. We searched for a simple method of changing the
splash screens (start - up, await close - down, close - down). This proved to be fruitless. We also wanted a place to safely store our images for screen saver presentation. Our
search was over when a Keeper came to us through the tool Links.
The idea of beta testing a product for which we have searched for many years and provide a break from testing business related software, was compelling. When we agreed to Beta Test, there
was not hint of the joy which would follow.
