Like so many writers of his day, John Milton did not escape criticism, but did critical acclaim.
Revisiting his "Paradise Lost" presented by Bodleian Library, Oxford, England, provided a looking glass into citizen Milton who was an active citizen, good neighbor, showing civic pride and the public realm. Truly a man who is rightfully referred to as a citizen of the world, or citizen Milton. Even by today's standards Milton might be considered a radical, but a radical with reason.
The whole of John Milton's life and contributions to human kind are explored in depth through fourteen sub sections of the website. Returning to Milton, having gained even newer insights than those gathered in my youth, I wish to recommend a must visit and some degree of permanency as a Talking Hands Award nominee.
