Opens offsite-Utah Geological Survey-Teacher Resources-Presented 280614

I am in the fourth grade and a class project involving Earth Science Week, was to enlist the aid of a grandparent, select a random state from a "fish bowl" write about what grandpa and I found.

I do not have good computer skills, but grandpa does and he is 86 years young. We reviewed the Utah Geological Survey web site in depth.  We found the Big Rock Candy Mountain.  Gramps asked if I had ever heard Burl Ives sing.  We then listened to the song. We found The Midway hot pots which are natural hot springs in Wasatch County.  Gramps said we could have a free hot bath and feel good. There were a lot of other interesting places, all natural.

But what I liked best was when Gramps let me go through the place, it really was easy and fun too.  After our visit we will take a walk in the country side and find some dinosaurs and fossils like they find in Utah. The people keep things up to date too.
