Native Words Native Warriors websites is about code talkers during World War II and is part of the Museum of the American Indian (NMAI).

During WWII hundreds of native Americans from various tribes developed secret communications in their native languages to further the battlefield execution. The flash presentation, which can also be viewed in plain text, is the code talkers story. An audio and pictorial presentation is accompanied by text to the audio and carries a visitor though native languages, code talking, survival after WWII and late coming recognition for service to our country.

Additional sections are boarding schools, lesson plans, resources, credits and providing feedback.

I really think this website should be made available to everyone who calls themselves an American. Not only because our WWII veterans are fewer and fewer each year, but for the other lessons all of us can learn from our native American brothers and sisters, who continue to be what most of us would call stead fast and true American patriots.
