The ultimate goal of any web presence is to combine ease of navigation, readability, visual presentation and content into an enjoyable online experience, which Ohio History Central Online Encyclopedia accomplishes with features worth special mention.
On the opening page we find a top navigation system which includes an index, history, natural history, prehistory and state symbols. Mousiness navigation, with a tab and enter opens a sub menu which is intuitive and filled to the brim with information, resizing font size on each page is enabled and right side navigation is also presented for each major topic.
I would like to give one example of the detailed information contained within the natural history section. There we find animals, geography, geology, glossary, topics and timeline. Under animals there are reptiles and amphibians, mammals, birds, insects and fish. Picking the American Robin under birds there are related entries of American Indians, Habitat and Ohio.
The whole experience of visiting this website has been very informative and worthwhile because of special attention to enhancements for we who are disABLED. Thank you for a visit to Ohio through picture and word, now leaving with a greater appreciation for the great state of Ohio.
