When asked to write a laudation for ASL University whose author is Dr. Bill Vicars I started with the welcome and quickly realized that although I was not at present associated nor knew a deaf person, learning a second language would be very useful in a number of circumstances.
Then onto the course syllabus to find that not only was the course free, I could progress at my own pace, and could also gain full accreditation for my effort, should I wish to do so.
The bookstore, catalog, dictionary, library and resources portions of the web site provide all the resources I would need, as after finishing this laudation, signing up will be my next task.
