A recent television show about Heron of Alexandria on the History Channel's Ancient Discoveries led me a few days later to do a search for additional information. Among the web pages found was that of Michael Lahanas who is a Hellene and European.
Not only did I find a dearth of information about Heron, but ancient, medieval and modern Greece concerning science and technology, biographies, life, arts, literature. philosophy, Olympics, mythology, history and cities, places and maps, but I also found Michael Lahanas, the author, Hellene and European, a modern day man equal in statue and accomplishments to those about whom he wrote.
After an hour my thought was to bookmark the site and return later, but knowing how bookmarks get lost, wrote this laudation and submitted a nomination for Michael Lahanas to be considered for the Talking Hands Award, which would add some permanency to the bookmark.
