The National Hurricane Survival Initiative-Presented 260801

The hurricane season of 2005 saw five destructive hurricane names retired: Katrina, Rita, Stan, Wilma and Dennis, which were among the 28 named storms of the season, surpassing 1933 with 21 named storms and the previous record.

Now we are into the 2006 hurricane season with lessons learned, fresh on most of our minds, but are we prepared for this season which is forecast to be worse than the prior two years?

According to a regional survey the 55 million residents along the Gulf coast up to 30 miles inland, some lessons have not been learned and The National Hurricane Survival Initiative was born.

The website is much more than an impressive presentation, survival fact book and resource center. It is a presentation which will benefit all, but especially those among us who are especially vulnerable: our infirmed, disABLED and elderly.

Building a valuable resource which is accessible to the most vulnerable groups has been achieved and must be shared with our friends, relatives, associates and those with whom we come in contact, now send this bookmark to everyone on your mailing lists, especially if they live along the Gulf Coast of the United States of America.
