When I was asked to prepare a laudation for GSCK Regal Realm my heart pounded and a flood of memories engulfed me. Then as my review began everything took me back to  my Tennessee Walking horse and fond reminders of my own Walking Horse competitions and some with Dressage too.

I wondered if these memories many years since my youth would find familiar terms, techniques and examples of the formality of dressage which I also find in my dog obedience competitions, with both demanding and expecting precision and grace as the rider and horse or dog and handler become as one.

No there was no disappointment, only a sadness of sorts, for I quickly found some of the common errors I had committed and ready readable answers (only wishing this site had been available 50 years ago). Of course the excellent graphics, all of which are rendered by the website author and the rescue section also appealed to my inner self.  I then donned my derby, slipped into riding habit and felt like a queen.  So where is my crop?

Now to call my grand daughter and tell her I have found a horse for her parents to adopt along with world class Persian cats to purchase.
