Many of us who had not been introduced to the beauty of poetry in our early youth, find that reading and understanding poetry at a later stage in our lives lacks some of the desirability for continued reading.
So a venture into the Poetry Archive is an opportunity to gain both the appreciation and understanding of poetry, by listening to the inflection and presentation of the author, as they read some poetry which they have written. By listening to a poem being read by the author, we have the same experience as a achapello solo or a particular musical instrument, also solo, and may also kindle a desire within the heart of a visitor to begin a journey filled with a new appreciation for the little things in life, which most of us take for granted or ignored and written as poetry.
