Recreating life in earlier periods is an art form worthy of exploration, especially as presented by Memorial Hall Museum's American Centuries site. It includes a extensive collection of material provided by the members and donors of the Pocumtuck Valley Memorial Association, Deerfield, Massachusetts and an array of classroom lessons on the elementary, middle, and secondary levels written and tested by classroom teachers under the direction of curriculum specialists, all of which are in user friendly formats which means ready access without specialty tools. Conclusions about New England and US history from 1780 - 1820 and use of historical evidence to recreate life in a New England village at each turn of the century to illuminate broader themes of Massachusetts, United States, and World History may be readily obtained just by visiting our honoree.
