After September 11, 2001 NITLE held a seminar which lead to the creation of Al-Musharaka (the collaborative) which was a loosely structured group who were determined to work together and create multimedia materials of high quality to facilitate a constructive understanding which focuses on the cultural and civilization aspects of the Arab World.
This diverse multimedia mosaic is neutral with respect to policies of the region or elsewhere and is a bridge of understanding across the gap between civilizations.
