1988 was our first year for the Talking Hands Award to have an "official listing of honoree's", having been established in 1986.
Our singular purpose is to reward website authors, who through their creative excellence provide a web site which teaches, contains teaching elements in sufficient detail, and otherwise leave a visitor with something of significant value after returning to their normal daily activities.
Please note the accessibility certified web sites in the early years of our award. These authors are in our opinion, pioneers.
Lady Myst.-980321: Natures plea.
Jan's Joyous Jungle.-980305: Our very first internet friend, although we have not kept in contact. Truly a delightful place to visit and learn.
Burton Neal Levy-980228: Home of the Blue Ribbon Award and a guru who will take you the distance.
Jan Konkoly-Navy Shelties.-980221: A delightful journey into the land of our favorite dog, the Shetland Sheep dog by an expert having no equal, but we are biased.
BedTime Story.-980205: The criteria for a tale's inclusion on the Bedtime-Story site, is that the story must be as pleasant for an adult to read, as it is for a child to hear.
Autism and Family-980131: "I created this page to aid in the education of Autism for those who are just learning about it and for those who are living with it."
Sherry Messick.-980118: The Scleroderma portal. Sharing is caring. People touched by Scleroderma reaching out.
Our Talking Hands honorees may be found either by searching by the year the honor was earned or by the teaching and learning element in which they excell.
